9 Video Marketing Tools and Software to Make Your Life Easier

Published: 02/05/2023 by Kayleigh Walter

Did you know that over 500 million hours of video are watched every week on YouTube? That’s YouTube alone, that doesn’t include any other Social Media sites.

Video Marketing is only gaining momentum in the industry, it's extremely rewarding and we believe no business should miss out because of expensive edit suite costs. So we’ve decided to put together a list of some of our favourite software tools to help you create and deliver great videos without having to splash the cash.

Video Creation Tools

Biteable

Biteable is an online piece of software that allows you to create videos and animations and is free to use. The software is simple to use you don’t need any knowledge to be able to create videos on Biteable. Starting with one of their templates you can then look through hundreds of different styled animations and text and photo-based animated slides. You can adjust the colour scheme to fit your business and add music to liven up your video.

It is so simple and easy to use you can have a video perfect for your business completed in minutes. However, some of the drawbacks of using Biteable are the lack of choices when choosing fonts and the limited options in changing slide length.

Wideo

Wideo offer a 7-day free trial period in which you can use their templates to create great videos, unfortunatel,y you are unable to download or share your videos until you’ve upgraded to one of their pay monthly plans. It is quick and rather simple using their pre-set templates and easy to put your own imagery and text in. The animation, though limited is easy to change to suit your needs such as the length of each slide, something Biteable does lack.

Animaker

Animaker is a lot of fun and rather simple to use. Their animations are quirky and fun to watch and extremely simple to make using a drag, drop and click approach. They have a lot of good content available to those using the site for free. As a free user, you can only export 5 videos a month and they will contain the Animaker watermark, you are then able to share them anywhere you choose.

Their business plans start at $19 (£13.40) a month and will allow you access to more of their animation pre-sets and characters as well as unlimited watermark-free exports.

Moovly

Moovly offer a free 30-day trial, which is a great way to try out the software and see if it’s for you, all you have to do is sign up! The software is simple and easy to use with a simple drag, drop & animate process that allows you to create high-quality content in minutes.

Unfortunately, videos from the trial period won’t be exported in HD quality and they will contain a watermark but there is no limit to how many videos you can create within you 30 days free trial. Their payment plans start at $24.92 (£17.58) a month and will allow you HD quality exports and watermark free content.

Video Editing Tools

YouTube Online Editor

YouTube’s online editor will allow you to cut and trim videos in browser and save as many different versions as you need. You’re able to swap out the audio track on your video and replace it and you can make changes to any previously uploaded videos on YouTube. YouTube doesn't have to feature heavily in your marketing plan for you to use this software and what makes it an ideal one to use is it's completely free.

DaVinci Resolve

This is a free downloadable piece of software that has the option for a paid upgrade but it’s not really necessary. The free version gives you access to so many tools that you don't really need to spend the money to upgrade. Though it looks rather daunting, it does get easier to use and this software really does allow you to edit your videos to a professional standard.

VSDC Free Video Editor

VSDC is another completely free video editor that's worth trying out. They are a non-linear editing suit meaning you can edit parts of your video out of time and place them anywhere on your timeline while you work. It includes professional and artistic effects that can add creativity to your video. Though it has an unusual interface, it is worth learning to understand the way VSDC works because you can create high quality, professional videos to help enhance your business.

Semrush

Semrush is a great piece of software that allows you to schedule posts across all of your Social Media accounts. It also allows you to track your competitor’s posts and campaigns and compare them to your own. You can schedule Instagram posts, however, they do need to be manually posted, Semrush will give you a reminder to post it and then you manually post it. Unfortunately, Semrush isn’t free and works on a pay monthly fee starting at $99.95 (£70.48) however it is a fantastic piece of software and is worth the monthly fee.

Everypost

Everypost is similar to Semrush in that it allows you to schedule social media posts in advance. The interface is simple and makes it easy to use and post. They do have a basic free version and their pay monthly plans start as low as $9.99 (£7.05) a month.

Hopefully, you’ll be able to use some of these tools to help create perfect video content to support and spread awareness of your business. Let us know how you get on using some of these tools and get in touch if there’s any I’ve missed off the list that deserves to be there!
